Rental questions

Weddings, birthday celebrations, corporate meetings, private screenings, fundraisers, and marquee messages — here is what to know before you book.

What is the process to rent the theatre?

Start with the rental planner on this page, or email us with your date, event type, and headcount. We schedule a walkthrough, finalize the plan, then lock the date with a signed Facility Use Agreement, deposit, and proof of liability insurance.

When is the theatre available to rent?

Daytime and evening rentals are possible when the house is free. Weekend dates are limited. Plan several weeks ahead — often six to eight — because movie nights and Fox programming come first. Every booking depends on the schedule.

How much does it cost to rent the theatre?

It depends on the day and time, how long you need the house, the staffing your event requires, and whether a public film screening needs a license fee. Fox staff confirm current rates after we understand the event — there is no single published auditorium price.

Can I have my event catered?

Yes — outside caterers only. The Fox does not offer a banquet catering add-on and has no commercial kitchen, so food must arrive ready to serve or with the caterer’s own equipment. Ask us for local caterer referrals, and plan on caterer insurance certificates before the event.

Can I serve alcohol at my event?

Yes, with the right permit and insurance. The Fox is not a liquor licensee for rental events. You need either a Colorado Special Event Permit or a Colorado-licensed caterer or bartending service, plus liability insurance that includes liquor liability. Staff will walk you through the paperwork before the event.

What activities are not allowed?

The Fox may decline an event that does not fit the house, and a rental is not an endorsement of the event or its sponsor. House rules include no confetti, rice, or glitter, and no open flame without advance approval. Ask if you are unsure.

What is the equal access policy?

We expect presenters, organizers, fans, patrons, vendors, our employees, and all who work with us to provide access to events to everyone. We do not allow programming or events that discriminate or advocate for discrimination based on race, religion, creed, ethnicity, national origin (including ancestry), citizenship status, physical or mental disability, age, marital status, family relationship, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, veteran or military status, predisposing genetic characteristics, domestic violence victim status, or any other protected category under applicable local, state, or federal law.

Can I host a birthday celebration at the Fox?

Yes — rent the auditorium or another available space for a celebration. Cost depends on the day, how long you need the house, and staffing. Decorations are welcome under house rules (no confetti, rice, or glitter). Outside catering is allowed with the catering rules above. Private youth entertainment parties — gaming, VR, or supervised kids parties at 711 Main — are not open for booking yet.

Can I book a corporate meeting or presentation?

Yes. The auditorium and the Studio at 711 work for meetings, training, product launches, and presentations on the big screen. Use the planner above or email with your date and headcount. Staffing and rates depend on the schedule — there is no published corporate package price. Outside catering follows the catering rules above; the Fox does not offer banquet catering.

Can I rent the house for a private movie screening?

Yes, when the schedule is free. Private screenings require a minimum of about 20% of the house — 78 tickets of 390 seats. Tell us the film idea, date, and group size. Projection is run by Fox staff as part of the rental tech plan, and you are responsible for any screening rights the title needs. Staff confirm availability and current rates after the inquiry.

Do you offer overnight lock-ins or school field-trip packages?

Overnight lock-ins are not offered — they are permanently off the catalog. School or youth-group visits that need the house are reviewed case by case through this rental inquiry path under our rules for events with minors. There is no published field-trip package and no minimum-guest deal online.
