Revitalizing the Fox

Funded back to life

Built in 1917, dark in 1986, movies ran nine years while the roof still leaked — then a $3.26M capital campaign matched the demand the community already showed. Phase 2 is in the homestretch.

The phases

  2. PHASE 2 · NOW

HVAC, historic masonry, marquee canopy, drainage, fire escape, stage lighting, laser projection, abatement.

  3. PHASE 3 · NEXT

Sound, seating, lobby, concessions, and the full historic neon.

The honor roll

$3,264,596 awarded — base scope fully funded. These partners — and many individual donors — closed gaps that were real. The Fox would not be finishing Phase 2 without them.

Josie Boynton joined Spanish Peaks Community Foundation later in the capital arc and built the relationships that brought several top-tier partners to the table when it mattered most.

Phase 3 fills the building with what patrons and renters actually use: seating, access devices, house sound, lobby, concessions, and the historic neon marquee.
