Save the date: Huerfano Gives Legends Gala returns December 9

WALSENBURG, Colorado — Huerfano Gives will hold the 2026 Legends Gala on Wednesday, December 9, at Gub Gub’s, 629 Main Street in downtown Walsenburg.

The gala is the in-person fundraising celebration of Huerfano Gives, a countywide effort that connects donors with more than 30 nonprofit organizations serving Huerfano County. The evening will recognize local impact and bring community members together in support of the organizations that strengthen life across the county.

In 2025, Huerfano Gives raised $24,203 for Huerfano County nonprofits. The 2026 campaign will build on that community support while introducing residents and donors to this year’s participating organizations.

Ticket and silent-auction proceeds will benefit participating nonprofits. Event sponsorships will help cover gala expenses so that more of the money raised can be directed back into the nonprofit community.

The Legends Gala joined Huerfano Gives in 2025 as a donor-focused evening of food, music, community recognition, and charitable giving. This year’s White Christmas theme will bring 1950s holiday style to the celebration. Guests are invited to wear festive cocktail attire, vintage-inspired looks, or their favorite holiday finery. Themed attire is encouraged but not required.

Sponsorship opportunities are available at the $1,000 Huerfano Giver, $2,500 Peak Sponsor, and $5,000 Legend Sponsor levels. In-kind contributions of decorations, printing, supplies, services, and volunteer support are also welcome. Prospective sponsors can contact Josie Boynton at josie@spanishpeaks.foundation.
