Make It Rain, Walsenburg!

WALSENBURG — April showers bring May flowers, and the Walsenburg Downtown Revitalization Committee (WDRC) is asking for help fundraising for Main Street beautification — purchasing and maintaining flowers for hanging baskets and Walking Walsenburg planters that adorn Main Street May through October.

Through April, Gub Gub’s customers can add a donation on site or through their Toast online ordering app. Donors can also send money via Venmo to @WalsenburgDRC, or contact downtownwalsenburg@gmail.com for other options.

All funds raised in April go toward discounted plants and baskets from Huerfano Nursery and Garden Center. Excess support helps fund free downtown events including Porchfest (Saturday, May 24) and Mountain Mining Days (Saturday, September 6). More at walsenburgporchfest.com.

The WDRC is composed of volunteer board members dedicated to improving foot traffic and economic activity downtown through memorable experiences for all ages.
