WALSENBURG, Colorado — The Walsenburg Downtown Revitalization Committee is planning the 37th Annual Parade of Lights on Friday, November 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving. This year’s theme is Your favorite Christmas movie.
Lineup is at 5 p.m. across from the library at East Cedar Avenue and Walsen Avenue. The parade starts at 6 p.m. Sign-up is free for classrooms, nonprofits, organizations, families, friend groups, 4-H clubs, businesses, and anyone else who wants to join.
After the parade, Gub Gub’s at 629 Main Street will host the 3rd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting, with free hot cocoa.
A $200 cash prize will go to the best entry.
This is a save-the-date. Flyers and social posts will follow. Organizers asked neighbors to get it on the calendar now and pass it along.
The City of Walsenburg and Huerfano County require all vehicles and trailers in the parade to be licensed, insured, and registered.
