Porchfest 2025 returns Memorial Day weekend

WALSENBURG — Porchfest returns for a third year this Memorial Day weekend. The all-day event on Saturday, May 24 kicks off at 9:30 AM with Mariachi Diamante and El Fandango dancers teaming up at Miners Plaza.

Classic car owners are invited to show off from 9 AM to noon along West 6th Street (legal street parking — the road is not closed). From 10 AM to 2 PM the city comes alive with yard sales, bake sales, fundraisers, and games hosted by local nonprofits, businesses, and residents.

Live music pop-ups include Bobcat at Dorcas (10:30 AM), Ear Bones at 110 E 5th Street (11:30 AM), and Harley Kelley at Crafty Canary (12:30 PM). The daytime closes with the Porchfest Block Party at Miners Plaza (2–5:30 PM) featuring Denver-based Pax Similie and local rock band Desert of the Real. Porchfest After Dark with Vegan Shark follows at Gub Gub’s at 7 PM.

Porchfest runs concurrently with FAR OUT Murals — live painting throughout the day from visiting and local artists. Details and a community map are at walsenburgporchfest.com.

Presented by the Walsenburg Downtown Revitalization Committee, Fox Theatre Walsenburg, and Spanish Peaks Community Foundation. Porchfest started in 2023 to highlight Walsenburg’s cottage industry, increase downtown foot traffic, and amplify local businesses.
